Our 1st New Year's Eve in Minnesota was quite eventful. Our neighborhood decided to have a progressive appetizer party. We had 6 homes hosting and we all traveled around to each house together. We went as a family to the first 3 houses then stayed home to ring in the New Year together. Em & I were the only 2 standing at midnight. Scott & Eli had fallen asleep on the couch!
Lisa & her husband Keith live 2 houses down. They are a great family and our kids have fun playing together. Lisa helps me out by watching Eliot once a month so I can go read with the kids in Eli's class.
The idea was to dress up in "sparkly" for the night.
Our house was the 3rd house hosting. We decided to play some "Minute to Win It" games with the kids & adults. Emery is trying to get the cookie from her forehead to her mouth in one minute.

Some of the crowd gathered at our house. My neighbor Pam hosted with us too. Our appetizers were mini pulled bbq pork sandwiches & homemade potato skins.
Jeanette, Debbie, Nikki & Tracy...all ladies that live within 5 houses of ours.

More games at our place. Gabby is trying to see how many cups she can stack in a minute.
My favorite part was watching the adults compete in the games. They had just as much fun as the kids!
On New Year's day Scott, Emery & Eli went out to play hockey on a pond behind our house. Marty cleared a big section on the pond so the kids can skate and play.
It was extremely cold and they only stayed out about 30 minutes even in full snow gear.
